Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 2 tbsp coconut flour
  • Flax Meal – 1 tablespoon flaxseed powder soaked in 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tablespoons hung curd
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger-green chili paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves (skip this in fasting)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda (skip this in fasting)
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoons ghee for the dough
  • Ghee for pan frying

Method

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, and flaxseed meal.
  • Add hung curd, ginger-green chili paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, baking soda, lemon juice, and salt.
  • Mix well and add 1-2 tablespoons of ghee to the mixture.
  • Gradually add water as needed and knead into a soft dough. 
  • Divide the dough into small portions.
  • Roll each portion into a patty shape 
  • Heat a pan and add a few tablespoons of ghee for shallow frying.
  • Place the patty in the pan, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook on medium heat, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides. This should take about 10-15 minutes.
