Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 2 tbsp coconut flour
- Flax Meal – 1 tablespoon flaxseed powder soaked in 2 tbsp water
- 1 tablespoons hung curd
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger-green chili paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves (skip this in fasting)
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda (skip this in fasting)
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoons ghee for the dough
- Ghee for pan frying
Method
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, and flaxseed meal.
- Add hung curd, ginger-green chili paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, baking soda, lemon juice, and salt.
- Mix well and add 1-2 tablespoons of ghee to the mixture.
- Gradually add water as needed and knead into a soft dough.
- Divide the dough into small portions.
- Roll each portion into a patty shape
- Heat a pan and add a few tablespoons of ghee for shallow frying.
- Place the patty in the pan, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Cook on medium heat, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides. This should take about 10-15 minutes.
