Amla is tridoshic. The sourness of Amla decreases excess of Vata dosha, the coldness and soothing effect reduces the Pitta dosha and the rough or sharp nature mitigates the Kapha dosh in the body. Turmeric keeps 3 energies equilibrium, is anti-inflammatory & anti allergic.  Ginger also keeps 3 energies in equilibrium , aids Agni & promotes digestion. Black Pepper promotes Agni, RASAYANA,  cinnamon is an excellent pacifier of Vata and Kapha doshas but increases the Pitta doshas. It has a sweet-pungent taste (i.e. madhura-katu rasa) and characterizes a hot potency (i.e. ushna virya).

Ingredients:(Serving -2)

  • 2 and ½ Cup water (600-700 ml)
  • 1 piece Amla (grated)
  • 1 small size raw turmeric (1 tbsp grated)
  • 1 small size ginger (1 tbsp grated)
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder (1/4 tsp for Pitta People as it is hot)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder (1/4 tsp for Pitta)

Method: 

  • Boil all ingredients, strain & sip lukewarm.
