What to do:

  1. Kapha Balancing Diet – Foods having Bitter, Pungent & Astringent Tastes (Rasas) are good for consumption during spring season e.g onion, garlic, ginger, bitter gourd, spinach, moong beans, fruits etc.
  2. Yoga during Kapha Hours (6.00 to 10.00 a.m) – Kapha dosha time is from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., & practicing yoga within these hours can help to balance the sluggishness of kapha and grants energy throughout the rest of the day.

  3. Say NO to Oily, Heavy & cold foods – Cold, Frozen, Heavy & oily food will only aggravate Kapha & contribute to accumulation. On the contrary warm, light, fresh & dry food items will help in expelling out the excess kapha from the body.

  4. Sleep well & before 10.00 p.m – Enjoy at least 8 hours of sleep per night so that your body has adequate time for cellular renewal and repair. Digestive organs such as Liver & Pancreas also work actively between 10.00 to 2.00 a.m or Pitta kaal, hence sleep mode should be ON then.
