Jowar or Sorghum is rich in protein, iron, and copper, this gluten-free grain has been known to play a crucial role in cellular function and repair. The rich quantity of potassium and phosphorous helps lower cholesterol and manage high blood pressure. These biscuits are full of fiber & are a healthy substitute for maida biscuits.
Ingredients
1. Unsalted Butter – 1/4 cup
2. Brown Sugar – 1/4 cup
3. Jowar/Sorghum Flour – 1 cup.
4. Baking Powder – 1/2 tsp
5. Chopped Cashews, Pistachios & Seeds – 1/4 cup
6. Salt – A pinch
7. Milk – 2-3 tsp
Instructions:
1. Mix butter & sugar well (creaming of butter)
2. Mix Sorghum Flour, baking powder & salt well in a separate bowl.
3. Add Butter n Sugar in the dry ingredients.
4. Add chopped Cashews & Pistachios & seeds.
5. Add little milk to bind the dough. (Don’t overdo)
6. Shape into bread loaf.
7. Refrigerate for 15 minutes
8. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degree C for 15-20 minutes.
9. Take it out from oven & leave it on wired rack to cool down for 15 minutes.
