Ingredients:
- 2 cups/500g yellow pumpkin (kaddu), washed, chopped with skin into discs
- 1-inch piece ginger
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- Pumpkin seeds for garnishing
Method
- Put the yellow pumpkin in a pressure cooker along with green chilies, ginger, roasted cumin seeds and 2 cups water. Pressure cook for about 10 minutes.
- Take off the pressure and cool. Put into a blender.
- After it is well-blended, put it back on heat and bring to boil. Season to taste.
- Serve hot, garnish with black pepper powder & pumpkin seeds.
