Why should we Soak Nuts before consumption?

Phytic acid & Tannins are anti-nutrients that inhibit the absorption of nutrients by our body as they bind to certain proteins and minerals such as iron, zinc, and calcium.

Soaking decreases the anti nutrients content of foods. It also makes them easy to digest and palatable 😊

Best way to Soak:
✔️Soaking between 2 – 8 hours is recommended, but even a few minutes is better than nothing at all.
✔️Drain and refill the water at least twice while soaking. Discard the water and never use it in cooking.
✔️Soaking in plastic utensils shall be avoided as it might lead to leaching of plastic into the water & food.
