Lasagne is wide and flat pasta. It is a culinary dish prepared with stacked layers of pasta rectangular sheets & contains sauces and ingredients such as vegetables, cheese and topped with melted grated cheese. Finally it is baked in oven after layers are set. This veg lasagna has made from homemade whole wheat flour lasagna sheets & topped with veggies & cottage cheese.
Ingredients:
1. Lasagne sheets – whole wheat
2. Pizza Pasta sauce – 1 cup
3. Veggies – of your choice (I used cabbage, mushrooms, corns, onions, capsicum, and
4. All-purpose flour – 1 tbsp
5. Cottage Cheese
6. Milk – 1 cup
7. Salt & Oregano/Mixed Herbs – according to taste
8. Butter – 1 tbsp
Method:
1. Make Pizza Pasta Sauce (Recipe annexed)
2. Make Pizza Pasta Sauce (Recipe annexed)
3. Chop & dry roast all the chopped veggies that are available.
4. In a pan, add butter & roast chopped garlic.
5. Add other veggies except mushrooms & cook for some time.
6. Prepare white sauce by whisking milk with all-purpose flour.
7. Add this white sauce to half of the cooked vegetables.
8. For assembling, set alternate layers of lasagna sheets, cooked veggies, pizza pasta sauce, and White sauce veggies.
9. Top up with Mushrooms
10. Garnish with grated cottage cheese.
11. Sprinkle oregano & black pepper powder.
12. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees centigrade for 15-20 minutes.
