Ingredients
- Daliya (Broken Wheat) – 0.5 Cup
- Split Green Moong Dal – 0.5 Cup
- Ghee(topping up) – 1 tablespoon
- Jeera Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
- Green Peas – 1/4 Cup
- Carrots – 1/4 Cup
- Tomatoes chopped or pureed – 1-2
- Grated ginger – 1/4 inch
- Water – 3 to 4 Cups
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Soak the Green Moong Dal for 15-30 minutes after washing it.
- Melt the Ghee in a pressure cooker.
- When the mixture is heated, add the asafoetida and Jeera. Add the veggies, ginger, and turmeric once the Jeera has started to crackle. Stir it up quickly.
- Add the green chilies if using.
- Stir in the Daliya and Green Dal, as well as 3 cups of water and salt to taste.
- Cook for 3 to 4 whistles.
